The end of 2024 marked two years of action toward building greater fairness and accountability in the denim industry. Through the launch of an independent Council, the Ethical Denim Council (EDC) provided suppliers with a new way to resolve disputes. EDC’s research, including two State of the Denim Industry Reports, revealed persistent supply chain challenges and underscored the need for stronger protections. To address these, EDC promoted initiatives like a non-cancellation compliance clause. As digital outreach and industry partnerships grew, EDC stayed focused on fostering an industry based on respect and accountability.
